whoops! starbucks does it again! this may be old news to folks in the northwest but i'm so pissed off & need to vent to SG readers.
while talking to cascadia blogger cousin marc about the starbucks presence in his hometown of portland, oregon, kid radical asked about coffee people (where he bought the best to-go mug ever). marc informed that last september, the wonderful hippy-oriented coffee people stores (what was then a local chain with 40 locations total) abruptly closed all its doors (except for its small airport location) and never reopened. then word spread that starbucks bought coffee people and would swiftly convert all locations. whoosh. done. over.
please support your local coffee shop before it's too late & starbucks owns everything!!
