People have been telling me for weeks that Bill Richardson is a candidate that is bound for the 1st tier of the democrats. I should think about supporting him. I tell them about his ties to the DLC, his ties to big oil and that I don't trust him. How it is possible that someone could flub this question is beyond me...and still I don't trust him.

Yowser, I heard this exchange over the weekend! I must confess I have been one of those expressing interest in a Bill Richardson run. But also without full knowledge. The views that Harold Ford Jr., chairman of the DLC (or is it DinoLC) has been expressing lately is a wakeup call. In other news.....So, I overheard on the Metro the other day two DLC employees chitchatting about John Edwards: "I like John Edwards but I couldn't vote for him. I mean, Elizabeth is going to die, at this point her diagnosis is terminal. I can't vote for a guy who is going to have to deal with that while he is president."
He strikes me as dishonest and not heartfelt about his positions and quite frankly running for the V.P. spot. Though, I think he may have placed that in jeopardy.
Elizabeth is going to die, huh? That is quite interesting. Here is a conversation I had in Hoboken...after speaking with a restaurant owner about Bill Clinton, "who do you like? Hillary? No, I couldn't vote for a woman? Ohhhh, I say and stare at Nicole, Barack then? Hell, no I ain't votin' fo' no African." "Ummm...I gotta go." No more big slices for me.
