The more you hear about the Jena 6 the worse it gets. Mychal Bell charged with attempted murder for a school yard fight. His attorney never called a witness or challenged an all white jury. The incident started with a racial incident where three black students asked if they could sit under a tree that white students "always" sat under. The next day three nooses were hanging from the tree which set off the chain of events. See below Amy Goodman talk about the recent events in the case.
I received this email that I am posting here for people to help support Mychal Bell who has been convicted and faces up to 22 years in prison. He sits in jail as we speak, his football career and teenage years being ruined. We plan on sending him something in the next few days. This case shows how far we have not come or are we still going backwards?

Calling this vicious assault "a schoolyard fight" is like calling 9/11 "an aviation mishap." Mychal Bell and five other blacks jumped a lone white kid in the hallway of the school. They beat the kid into unconsciousness. Mychal Bell then continued to kick the unconscious kid in the head until dragged away by teachers. The kid suffered a concussion and was transported to the hosital by ambulance.
I've seen nothing but lies on the web about this incident. Here are some FACTS for you:
The black kids at Jena High School took over the picnic tables, forcing the white kids to sit on the grass near the gym. The black kids them forced the white kids from the grass. The white kids then gravitated to a tree on campus. When the black kids began to take over the tree, three white kids hung nooses in the tree in protest.
Mychal Bell was shoved and punched when he and a group of friends attempted to crash a private off-campus party of black and white kids. The leftist websites are trying to make that into a racial incident. It was not.
A group of blacks jumped a white kid in a convenience store parking lot. The white kid ran to his vehicle and retrieved a shotgun to defend himself. The black kids tackled him, beat him up, and stole the shotgun.
Folks, RESEARCH this case. You're being used as chumps by the radical left and by black racists.
First, this is kid radical writing anonymously. I don't have time to go on because your post is so ignorant I want to respond quickly.
I want to tell you there is no such thing as racism by black people in America. It does not exist. Your comment that "black racists" are to blame is so off base as to be ludicrous. Racism is prejudice + power + influence over someone's life in housing, work, recreation, etc.
Yes, there are those in our society who are prejudice and biased and they are all skin colors, white, black, brown and all different ethnicities. But, in America the power to be racist exists only in the dominant culture with the power of that bias to influence lives. From slavery to Jim Crow to Civil Rights to the institutionalized racism that exists for black and brown people, whites, the dominant culture wields heavy influence that has not waned.
Second, the facts: You are way off. The mere fact that black kids felt it uncomfortable and had to ask to sit under a tree finds my argument racisim in the deep south alive and well in Jena. THen, three nooses appear and this is the black kids fault? Poppycock! Why should any group claim to have the tree? It is 2007. Not to mention the school officials acknowledged the wrong doing of the white kids. That is not in dispute.
And finally, the white kid who was beat up was home that very night with abrasions. Watch the video son. Attempted murder, I think not. A school fight, of course and that is how it should have been dealt as that...a school fight in response to a racially intolerant environment in the deep south.
