Giambi on the Verge of being Suspended

I find this report utter ridiculous. Selig is threatening to suspend Giambi unless he cooperates with the Mitchell investigation into baseball and steroids. Giambi (and I am no fan) is the only figure in this morass that has at least taken some responsibility and because he said: "MLB should apologize to the fans" he is being punished by Selig.

Selig is a thug who wants to have it both ways. He wants to deny any wrongdoing in the steroid era, not take a position on Bonds' chase of Aaron, ("oh, maybe I will be there, maybe I won't when he breaks the record") and yet not say whether anyone did steroids or not, though Jason Grimsley has said in an affidavit that major league teams had two coffee pots, "leaded and unleaded" and the leaded contained amphetamines. But, baseball knew nothing. Now, he wants to suspend Giambi for contrition. But baseball did not even ban steroids when Giambi was supposedly doing the "stuff" The report states:

Baseball and its union didn't ban steroids until September 2002 and didn't institute penalties for a first offense in most cases until 2005. Michael Weiner, the union's general counsel, said no grounds exist for disciplining Giambi based on the remarks published by USA Today or Giambi's decision about whether to meet with Mitchell.

Baseball should have a come tell the truth and you will not be punished policy. Punishment is not the answer here, truth is, so we can get back to rooting for people we at least know are not cheating.

Bud Selig has always beena wishy-washy piece of crap. He doesn't do anythign about the growing problem, that anyone could see if they looked at Mark McGwire in the late 90s, and now Giambi is going to pay. Bullshit.

By the way, his Yankees are still alive and kicking and going for 9 in a row. Bombs away, Boston!

Don't think I am not scared because I am...these are still my Red Sox. But, slumps are part of it. And ARod cannot keep it up, he is too much of a chump!

Go Sox!

The yankees really are starting to look good.. I don't know if they can keep it up though. Baseball needs to get a no tolerance policy but that will never happen with Bud. He wants to blaim Giambi, one of the only guys who has been honest.

Jason Giambi should be banned permanently from Major League Baseball as a practicing fool. This man cannot keep his mouth shut about what is to all intents and purposes a dead issue. Does anyone really care if he did or did not use steroids H. G. H. or other performance enhancing drugs. He has already bragged about such usage & complained that they did nothing to help him. HEY JASON -----We all believe that. You are just not much of a ball-player or an individual. Meet with Mitchell. Spill your guts. Do you really expect to be taken seriously? Certainly not by anyone cpable of intelligent thought. BUT-----This is your fifteen minutes of fame BUM. Spew it all out. ASSHOLE!!!!!!

Dude,

Chill!! take it easy, my man. They did steroids they didn't kill anyone. I really don't like him very much, but feel Bud is to blame...for a lot of it.
