Huge Turn-out in New Hampshire

New Hampshire Deputy Secretary of State Dave Scanlan told ABC News that "turnout among primary voters today is 'absolutely huge' -- and there are concerns about running out of ballots in towns like Portsmouth, Keene, Hudson and Pelham.""The ballot strain seems to be on Democratic ballots, which suggests that the undeclared voters are breaking for the Democratic primary."

I guess he isn't worried about the terrorist attack his wife warned about yesterday:

At a campaign stop in New Hampshire, Sen. Hillary Clinton suggested the next president will face a terrorist attack and that she was the best person to handle it, the Boston Globe reports. Said Clinton: "I don't think it was by accident that Al Qaeda decided to test the new prime minister. They watch our elections as closely as we do, maybe more closely than some of our fellows citizens do. Let's not forget you're hiring a president not just to do what a candidate says during the election, you want a president to be there when the chips are down."

Obama surging in New Hampshire

The latest Reuters/C-SPAN/Zogby tracking poll shows Sen. Hillary Clinton edging Sen. Barack Obama, 31% to 30%, with John Edwards at 20%. With a 3.4% margin of error, the race is a statisitical tie.Before Iowa's caucuses, Clinton led Obama by six points. Said pollster John Zogby: "We are seeing clear movement in Obama's direction and away from Hillary Clinton. There isn't much time for her to regroup here."

Other Polls show a dead heat as well. A CNN/WMUR poll shows Sen. Hillary Clinton and Sen. Barack Obama both tied at 33% with John Edwards in third place with 20%. A Concord Monitor poll shows Sen. Barack Obama edging Sen. Hillary Clinton among likely Democratic primary voters, 34% to 33%, with John Edwards third at 23%.

Two other polls are showing Obama surging ahead of the field. Also Bill Bradley had decided to back Barack Obama. Bradley leaned toward Edwards, but now seems ready to back Obama after his clear win in Iowa. But, let's wait for New Hampshire first. And if anything is clear from the debate last night Obama and Edwards would make one hell of a team. That would give me goosebumps if it ever happened.
