Scorecard on the Mukasey Nomination

Just to add to Glory to the Union's post below, here is the current scorecard on the vote for Mukasey. Patrick Leahy has just announced his opposition to the nomination and could have derailed his confirmation for good. Let us hope.

    unfortunately, NPR is reporting that Mukasey has enough democratic votes to be confirmed. the other senator from New York, Chuck Schumer, is supporting Mukasey.

    no real deadline. Though, Bush could make a recess appointment and skip Congress altogether. Don't you just love dictatorship?

    If that is true Glory, I will yet again be ashamed of this Congress. Is it any wonder they are at an 11% approval rating?
